Do you know who the real Baseline Killer is?

On September 4th, 2006 Mark Goudeau was arrested and accused of being the Baseline Killer.

On September 6th, 2006 Terry Wayne Smith was arrested for kidnapping his family and holding them hostage.

He will be eligible for parole in 2011.

Terry Wayne Smith…

- Visited his Mom's house in a t-shirt covered in blood on the night of a Baseline Killer murder

- Smith had numerous run-ins with the Phoenix Police because he was lurking by stores, acting violent, making threats, or following women during the same time and in the same areas that the Baseline Killer operated in.

- Smith watched pornography and masturbated in front of his family. Officer Stuart found numerous writings in his Mom’s house… one said, “get out of jail, do a ho, do another ho, and another and another.”

- Smith bragged about killing people to his family, one of his writings talks about shooting a woman in the head and then kissing her on the lips.

- After being released from prison in 2005 Smith said he “wanted to go back to prison with a bang". The Baseline Killer crimes started four months later.

- Two "Baseline Killer" murders occurred right after Smith was released from short stays in jail.

-Smith bragged about killing people to bystanders and even police just miles, and in one case yards away from the spot of various "Baseline Killer" murders

- Smith was only cleared as a suspect in the Baseline Killer murders because of one murder... He was supposedly in jail, but they didn't find the body for six days so all they have is a shaky estimated time of death for the murder in question.

- Smith is closely linked to the family of Mark Goudeau, the accused Baseline Killer, and had deep connections to the same Southside Phoenix gang.

- Smith was a junkie with no job or income to support his habit, and was observed by police to be high on numerous occasions. The Baseline Killer's living victims said the killer claimed to be a junkie who needed money to support his habit.

-Smith killed a woman in California in a crime that is very similar to the Baseline Killer murders... but Smith left the state and was never arrested for the murder.

- Smith got out of jail and went to stay with his Mom who was living in Laveen. Shortly after two women in a "roach coach" were murdered outside the normal operating area for the Baseline Killer. Roach coaches were known to ride around the Laveen area where his Mom lived.

- Smith's own Mom told police that she thought he was the "Baseline Killer”

- From his violent past to his abnormal sexual behavior Terry Wayne Smith matches the profile of both a serial killer and the Baseline Killer.
